Looking for a winning strategy for expansion, a multi-billion dollar mining company wanted to identify key acquisition targets. Acquiring the right assets in the right countries would create a huge increase in the overall valuation of the company.
We shortlisted forty potential targets and, using field research and data analysis, evaluated their potential. Using our methodology and ever-increasing detailed work, we streamlined and ranked the list. The CEO began negotiations with the top three targets and approached a deal with our top-ranked candidate. At the time, the deal was worth $1bn. Just two years later, that same company was worth $4bn.
